Excavated soils, with or without peat, would need to be managed on-site to prevent particulate matter, including dust and peat material, from leaving the construction site boundary. At the tunnel shaft locations, the excavated material (approximately 600 cubic yards from the vertical shaft excavation) would be placed in areas to be managed to allow for testing prior to disposal or reuse. This will be analyzed in the environmental document, and any mitigation will be provided there.
